Explorer Post 50 Started in March of 1997. We accept any young men or women who are interested in Firefighting in the LaCrosse area. We meet about every other week with a couple special meetings each year. Our meetings last for about two hours and we train in most every aspect of firefighting. Once the Explorers complete the required training they are able to ride along. Since the LaCrosse Fire Department is a career fire Department they are able to ride along for twenty four hour shifts. We also host the Midwest Regional Explorer Fire Academy which is a five day four night academy for any post in the Midwest. |
